About BRT

BRT - formerly Bartolini - is one of Italy's largest express-courier networks, moving domestic and international parcels for both businesses and consumers. It runs a dense network of depots across Italy, along with Fermopoint pickup locations for parcels that are collected rather than delivered to the door.

BRT shipments carry a scan history from collection to delivery, and undelivered items are commonly held at a depot or Fermopoint for pickup. The tracker works for any item sent with a BRT parcel number - you can also trace some shipments by the sender's reference.

BRT tracking number formats

A BRT tracking number is a numeric parcel or shipment number, commonly around 12 digits. Some shipments can also be traced using the sender's own reference instead. You will find the number on the BRT notification or the sender's dispatch note.

BRT tracking statuses explained

  • Accepted (Presa in carico)BRT has collected the item from the sender and it has entered the network.
  • In transit (In transito)The parcel is moving between BRT depots. Expect quiet gaps between scans.
  • Out for delivery (In consegna)The item is with a BRT driver on the delivery round and should arrive that day.
  • Delivered (Consegnato)Handed over at the address. For businesses this means reception or the mailroom received it - not yet the named recipient.
  • Delivery attempted (Tentativo di consegna)A delivery was tried but not completed. The parcel is usually redirected to a depot or Fermopoint for collection.

BRT tracking FAQs

How do I track a BRT parcel?

Enter your BRT parcel number into the tracker above. You'll see each event from acceptance (presa in carico) through to delivery (consegnato). The number is printed on the BRT notification or the sender's dispatch note.

What does a BRT tracking number look like?

A BRT parcel number is numeric, commonly around 12 digits. Some shipments can also be traced using the sender's own reference number instead of the BRT parcel number - both appear on the dispatch note.

Where do I collect a BRT parcel?

If delivery fails, BRT holds the parcel at a local depot or a Fermopoint pickup point. Check the notification or tracking page for the exact location, and bring photo ID and the parcel number to collect.

How do I arrange a BRT redelivery?

After a missed delivery you can usually request another attempt or redirect the parcel to a Fermopoint using the reference on the BRT notification. Options vary by shipment, so check the tracking page for what's available for your item.

Can Traizr track BRT deliveries into my building?

Yes. Traizr tracks parcels once they reach your building: staff scan each item in, the recipient is notified automatically, and a signature is captured on collection - a complete chain of custody from courier to recipient.

Common BRT tracking problems

Held at a depot or Fermopoint

Undelivered parcels are stored at a local BRT depot or Fermopoint. Check the notification for the location, then bring photo ID and the parcel number to collect.

Delivery attempted while out

If no one was available, BRT records a delivery attempt (tentativo di consegna) and redirects the item. The tracking page shows the next step for your parcel.

Arranging a redelivery

You can often request another attempt or a Fermopoint redirect using the reference on the notification. Available options vary by shipment, so check the tracking page.

Reference vs parcel number

Some items are traced by the sender's reference rather than the BRT parcel number. If one doesn't return results, try the other - both are on the dispatch note.

What happens after “Delivered”?

For a home address, delivery (consegnato) is the end of the story. For an office, university, hospital or apartment building, it's only halfway: the parcel has reached the door, but it still has to travel from reception to the person it's actually for. That internal leg is invisible to BRT - and it's where parcels most often go missing.

Traizr picks up exactly where the courier scan ends, giving your building the same visibility for the internal journey that BRT gives for the external one.
