About Evri

Evri is one of the United Kingdom's largest parcel carriers, delivering well over 700 million parcels a year. It was rebranded from Hermes in 2022, which is why its courier code and some older references still use the Hermes name. Most of what Evri carries is retail and e-commerce: online orders sent to homes and, increasingly, to workplaces and residential blocks.

Alongside doorstep delivery, Evri runs a large network of ParcelShops and lockers used for collection, returns and safe hand-over when no one is in. Deliveries are handled by local couriers, and Evri commonly captures a photo proof of delivery showing where the parcel was left.

Evri tracking number formats

An Evri tracking number is usually 16 characters. It may be a plain 16-digit number, or a code that starts with a letter - often H - followed by digits and letters. You will find it in the retailer's dispatch email or the Evri delivery notification, not printed on the parcel.

  • Out for deliveryThe parcel is with a local courier for delivery today, often shown with the driver and an estimated time window.
  • DeliveredLeft at the address, in a safe place, with a neighbour, or at a ParcelShop. Evri usually attaches a photo showing where it was left.
  • DelayedSomething has held the parcel up in the network. It normally recovers within a day or two and resumes its journey.

Evri tracking FAQs

How do I track an Evri parcel?

Enter your Evri tracking number into the tracker above and you'll see each scan from collection to delivery. Your number is in the retailer's dispatch email or the Evri notification. When it's out for delivery, Evri often shows a driver and an estimated time window.

What does an Evri tracking number look like?

It's typically 16 characters - either 16 digits or a code starting with a letter such as H followed by digits and letters, for example H00AA1234567890. Look for it in the retailer's dispatch confirmation rather than on the parcel.

My Evri parcel says delivered but I don't have it

Evri usually captures a photo on delivery, so check the delivery photo and message in the tracking. It may be in a safe place, with a neighbour, or at a local ParcelShop. At a business address it has most likely gone to reception or the mailroom.

Why has my Evri tracking not updated?

Tracking only moves when the parcel is scanned, so it can look static overnight or while it moves between a hub and the local depot. If there's been no scan for several days, contact the retailer you ordered from - they hold the contract with Evri and can raise a query.

Can Traizr track Evri parcels for my building?

Yes. Evri's tracking ends when the driver marks it delivered to your address. Traizr picks up from there: once the parcel reaches reception it's scanned in, the recipient is notified automatically, and a signature is captured on collection.

Common Evri tracking problems

Left in a “safe place” you can't find

Open the delivery photo in your tracking - it shows exactly where the courier left the parcel, whether that's a porch, bin store or side gate.

Delivered to a neighbour or ParcelShop

The tracking note and photo will name the neighbour or ParcelShop. Take ID to collect from a ParcelShop, and check the address on the proof of delivery.

Tracking not updating between scans

Gaps are normal while the parcel moves between hubs. Give it a working day; if it stalls past the expected date, ask the retailer to query it with Evri.

Taken to a ParcelShop for collection

If no one was in, Evri may divert the parcel to a nearby ParcelShop. Check the notification for the shop and how long you have to collect it.

What happens after “Delivered”?

For a home address, an Evri delivery photo is usually the end of the story. For an office, university, hospital or apartment building, it's only halfway: the parcel has reached the door - or reception - but it still has to travel to the person it's actually for. That internal leg is invisible to Evri, and it's where parcels most often go astray.

Traizr picks up exactly where the Evri scan and delivery photo end, giving your building the same visibility for the internal journey that Evri gives for the external one.
